"The earliest known curling stone, found in Scotland, dates back to 1511, and a 1560 painting by the Flemish artist Pieter Breughel shows a Dutch curling scene, complete with brooms. Breughel’s painting, entitled “Sweep, ye blootered bastards, sweep!” is the earliest known visual representation of curling."
Hat tip to Gordon, who gives us plenty of reason to remember that it doesn't matter if Lindsey Vonn skis or not, as long as she promises not to disappear.

I actually appreciate his take on it!!! But now now Andy: Its not just raining in Vancouver. On the same hill it will be snowing at the top, fog in the middle and rain at the bottom.
Gotta love it!
(or not...)
WV says it all: supleduk
I'm not an Olympics naysayer... I'm eating it up. Especially the hockey.
Good on ye, Andy. And what a refutation on Vancouver's rap for having the same weather all the time. Who knew it was just a matter of elevation?
Blootered bastards.... another to add to the lexicon. If more sports had things like this associated with them, I'd pay more attention to sports.
