Wonderful Speeches? Really?

Can we please stop with the "He gives the best speeches since they put sliced bread in a can" garbage? What speeches are you watching? They suck. Com. Pletely. Suck. He is rigid, robotic, and utterly, unmistakably lacking any convincing amount of conviction behind his declarations. There is nothing genuine or believable in anything he says, and frankly, his delivery is as unappealing as any of the last 400 attempts Oprah's people have made to make her look less like a space alien.

Come on, conservatives! It's high time you recognize that it doesn't do a whole helluva lot of good to beat your chests about how you ain't bowing down to the liberal media's propaganda, after having gleefully swallowed their fat little "Obama's a great speaker" worm. That's how it happened. He was declared the best speaker in the universe before he even stepped to Mt. Olympus there in Denver, and you all happily agreed.

Is this your version of liberal anti-terrorism doctrine? The doctrine that says "make sure you have more concessions for your opponent than condemnation?" Is it really that important for you to be able to say "hey, at least I had one nice thing to say about him?" Having nice things to say about the bad guy is getting us kicked around the global power playground like puppies at a Michael Vick party. Hell, having nice things to say about the bad guy got John McCain defeated last year.

Knock it off.

Happy Birthday, a few days late.

Yeah, he's a great speaker because he says what they want to hear, not because of how he says it. And I'm with you - fed up over the fawning about his supposed prowess.

I never understood it. Nice to know I'm not alone.

There must be legions of us who did not think Obama was a great speaker, and that was waaaayyy before the election.

Bullwer-Lyttonish mashups (written by juveniles who think squeezing a cardboard Hillary's titty is funny and worth recording)and read off a teleprompter by a guy who dresses well and watches his figure (there, I DID have something nice to say about the kid!) is not Lincolnesque in the least.
