It's the Work Before the Work
Dang. That's the BEST reality check I've seen in oh... about ten years. I kinda-sorta disagree with Louis about flying tho. I'm of an age where I can remember when flying really WAS "something special." And it's pretty far removed from today's cattle-car, no food, pay-to-check-your-bags, TSA "enhanced" experience.Just sayin'.
Saw that last week - great stuff. Is that blogroll new? I never noticed it before.....but I'm on it!!!!! That is so freaking sweet! Thanks a million. God, now I have to work really hard to deserve that coveted spot.I was having a lousy day (a damn Irish communist has invaded my site, seriously - Drunken Cyclist - ignore him if he comes back, he's a huge American hating asshole), seeing your blogroll just made me feel wonderful.Time for a beer, Friday's been saved by Andy!
Louis CK, I haven't seen him around in a while. Then again the only comedy I see is on Comedy Central and I don't think Stewart or Colbert are all that funny anymore. I yearn for the days when Comedy Central would show two minute bits similar to how MTV and VH1 used to show videos. I could watch that shit all day.Andy, the title to your post is obviously a line from this clip, a great line at that. Here are a few others I found as interesting. "Everything is amazing and nobody is happy.""We live in an amazing amazing world and it is wasted on the crappiest generation of just spoiled idiots.""What happened next? Did you fly through the air and partake in the miracle of flight?...Everybody on every flight should just be saying 'wow' because they are sitting in a chair in the sky." Thanks for the post, and I'm sure Louis CK thanks you for the publicity. I've told many people to check it out.
Daphne - the blogroll has been there since the beginning, and you joined it quite a while ago. Worthy of note: Buck has also Blogrolled you, and has (perhaps purposefully) called your site Jaded "Heaven."
Dang. Error on my part, since corrected. But you're right, Andy, about the Haven/Heaven. An honest mistake, it was. (and sorta complimentary, right?)
